JetXtra resumes flights to Spain from Humberside Airport

JetXtra, the low cost flight provider based at Humberside Airport in Lincolnshire resumes flights from Humberside Airport to Spain. According to business leaders the news of expanding services to Humberside Airport is evidence of region’s rising profile. It is also recommencing services to Alicante and Palma in Majorca.

According to Nicola Baker, marketing manager at Bondholders, it is very important for the region to have good-quality travel connections to the rest of the UK and in particular to Europe and the services provided by JetXtra from Humberside Airport is very welcome indeed. Seeing an increase in number and variety of services for business and leisure travellers from Humberside reinforce the airport’s growing reputation as a major gateway in and out of the region.

JetXtra announced a deal in January to run a new British Airways Embraer jet using the flight giant’s pilots and crew. It is the first time a regular British airways service has come to the region and the year’s first flight took off for Alicante on Saturday at 12.20pm. According to Daniel Reilly, JeXtra director, the region has shown its support for services and the new deal with British Airways will mean customers flying with JetXtra can expect the highest levels of service and comfort onboard on one of the most modern regional jets in the world

Flight to Alicante will operate weekly on Saturdays until 20th September. The airline is also introducing weekly service to Palma in Majorca from July for school holidays. The flight will also operate on Saturdays, leaving at 2.35 pm on a second British airways plane.
